At Capital Haus, growth is never just about expansion — it’s about building something more meaningful for the clients and communities we serve.

This past weekend, we welcomed clients and partners to the iconic Penfolds Magill Estate in Adelaide for An Evening at the Estate — a milestone event celebrating the acquisition of Baker Young Financial Services and the introduction of Baker Young, a Capital Haus company.

Set at one of South Australia’s most renowned wineries, the evening reflected the significance of the moment — where legacy meets the future.

A Legacy Carried Forward

Baker Young was founded more than 40 years ago by Alan Young and David Baker, growing into one of South Australia’s most trusted financial advisory firms. At the time of acquisition, the firm supported more than 6,000 clients and managed approximately $700 million in funds.

That legacy remains central to this next chapter.

Importantly, both Alan Young and David Baker continue to play an active role in the business, ensuring continuity for clients while supporting the transition into a new era. As Alan Young described, the decision was about “passing the torch” — with a strong belief in the alignment between Baker Young’s long-standing client-first philosophy and the direction of Capital Haus.

A Partnership Built on Heritage and Progress

The integration of Baker Young into Capital Haus represents a defining step in our national growth strategy.

By combining decades of trusted relationships with a modern, global investment approach, we are creating a more adaptive model of financial advice — one that reflects how clients’ needs are evolving.

With the addition of Baker Young, Capital Haus now oversees more than $1 billion in funds, marking a significant milestone in our continued growth.

An Evening to Connect, Reflect, and Look Forward

While the milestone itself is significant, the evening was ultimately about people.

Clients joined us for an intimate experience of fine wine and curated canapés, alongside conversations that extended beyond markets — into ideas, ambitions, and the future of wealth.

Throughout the night, our team shared the vision behind this next chapter: a more modern, connected approach to financial advisory — built on trust, strengthened by innovation, and designed for long-term outcomes.

It was also an opportunity to introduce the broader Capital Haus team, strengthening existing relationships and building new ones as we move forward together.

Shaping the Future of Financial Advisory in South Australia

The evolution to Baker Young, a Capital Haus company signals more than a change in structure — it reflects a broader shift in how financial advice is delivered.

Together, we are building a model that blends:

  • deep local expertise and long-standing client relationships
  • with global investment access and institutional capability

The result is a more forward-looking advisory experience — designed not just for today, but for what comes next.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

We walked away from Adelaide with a clear sense of momentum.

The conversations, energy, and shared ambition throughout the evening reinforced what we already knew — that the strength of Capital Haus lies in the community around it.

To everyone who joined us for An Evening at the Estate, thank you. Your trust, insight, and partnership continue to shape everything we do.

Your future grows with us.
