The Strategic Rationale

Baker Young’s four-decade heritage and deeply established client relationships align seamlessly with Capital Haus’ global investment infrastructure and institutional-grade capabilities. Together, we are broadening the depth and sophistication of solutions available to clients while preserving the legacy, continuity and trusted advisory relationships that have long defined Baker Young.

This partnership represents a meaningful step in strengthening our national presence. Baker Young will retain its brand identity and advisory team, continuing to serve clients under the Capital Haus Group while benefiting from enhanced research, portfolio construction and global investment access.

New Offering: Baker Young Private

Alongside the acquisition, we are launching Baker Young Private, a dedicated ultra-high-net-worth offering designed to deliver bespoke portfolio construction, private market access and sophisticated capital solutions for complex wealth structures.

This milestone reflects our continued commitment to growth, innovation and preserving the heritage of the firms we partner with.

Capital Haus Group Chairman Brendan Gow and CEO George Rahhal have taken leadership to new heights—literally—competing in the iconic Tri in the Sky at the world-renowned AURA Skypool in Dubai.

Held 200 metres above the city skyline, the Tri in the Sky is a unique endurance challenge set against one of the most striking backdrops in the world. For Capital Haus, the event was more than a physical test — it was a reflection of the mindset that underpins the Group’s leadership philosophy.

As Chairman Brendan Gow shared following the event:

“Over the weekend George Rahhal and I completed the Aura Skypool ‘Tri in the Sky’, for Capital Haus Group, a challenge I didn’t specifically train for — and that was the point.

I’ve always believed that training shouldn’t be reserved for events. You train for life.

• For resilience when things shift unexpectedly
• For discipline when the pressure rises
• For readiness when opportunities or adversity appear without warning

In business, leadership, family, and personal performance, life rarely gives you a heads-up.

Your preparation is your advantage.

Proud to have finished this, but more importantly, proud to continue building the capacity to take on whatever comes next.”

Training for Life, Not Just Events

The decision to compete without specific event preparation was intentional. It reflects a broader belief shared across Capital Haus Group: consistent preparation builds the resilience and adaptability required to navigate dynamic markets and evolving client needs.

Just as in business, the unexpected is inevitable in endurance events. Conditions change. Pressure builds. Fatigue sets in. The differentiator is not whether challenges arise, but whether you are prepared to meet them.

Performance as a Leadership Standard

At Capital Haus Group, performance is not situational — it is habitual. It is built through consistent standards, deliberate preparation and the willingness to operate beyond comfort zones. The same principles that drive success in endurance sport apply directly to leadership and long-term business success:

  • Discipline in preparation

  • Composure under pressure

  • Long-term vision over short-term comfort

  • Continuous capacity building

Endurance challenges expose what preparation has built. There are no shortcuts at altitude, just as there are no shortcuts in leadership. Results are shaped long before the moment arrives — through systems, habits and a commitment to continual improvement.

By stepping outside the boardroom and into a physically demanding environment, the Group’s leadership reinforced a simple belief: the standards we set personally are the standards we bring professionally. The mindset required to finish a challenge at 200 metres above the Dubai skyline is the same mindset applied to guiding clients, navigating markets and building a resilient national business

At Capital Haus, we believe that strong leadership combines professional excellence with personal resilience, balance and curiosity.

Our Founder and Chairman, Brendan Gow, was recently featured in The Australian Financial Review in a lifestyle profile showcasing how he finds balance and inspiration outside the office — particularly through motorcycling.

For Brendan, time on the bike isn’t just about speed — it’s about perspective. Riding offers an opportunity to slow down, reflect and reset, whether it’s a short trip for coffee on a quiet morning or a longer journey with friends. As he explains, the first moments on the road can be the most intimidating, but pushing through that initial challenge is part of the reward.

This mindset — embracing challenge, staying present, and maintaining balance — mirrors how Brendan approaches leadership at Capital Haus: with discipline, resilience and a readiness to take on whatever comes next.
